First, set up the printer: Unwrapped, erected, power cables and connected with network cable to switch. The installation under Windows was to be expected with the CD simple and self-explanatory. The prints are excellent for the price range. Printing takes somewhat, but is in the private opportunity use totally ok
As there was no review for Linux installation, I want to examine this: I have the printer tested the network with Ubuntu 10.04 (for me the last practically useful version of Ubuntu, the surfaces then are for me an absolute scrap and flew after some trouble with it soon by the computer) and the latest Linux Mint version 16 (the best Ubuntu alternative for me). For Laserjet CP1025nw you need the latest version hplib (with me 3.14.1, Download here:. [...], With the older versions could not be activated because the printer at my computer had both older hplib versions had I update both. If you follow the installation instructions (downloaded file in the personal folder store, then with "sh hplip-3.14.1.run" install in the terminal), you can not go far wrong, then printer setup is done after installing hplib then properly using a graphical interface almost by itself. Worked so under two distributions, the pressure is both in color as well as S / W is identical to the Windows Print.
Among the long-term experiences I'll possibly populating here in a few months supplements.
