I decided to ride my first PC on Haswell configuration with the idea of trying to conceive a Hackintosh, now that OSX Maverick is free for those who have Snow Leopard (equivalent to XP for Mac) if it costs a Feline (20 euros ... groin against 100 for Windows ...). For mounting no particular worries § the manual is in English but everything is clear and noted on the motherboard. Just take your time. The bundle had everything we needed including two rigid enough SATA cables that can be short for medium / large towers. Personally I rode in a Cooler Master N200 box (mini-tower) happiness cheap in successive fixtures and test equipment and cabling. I urge those who want to try the Hackintosh experience using this motherboard or more broadly the brand Gigabyte. Install OSX Maverick was a treat, post installation configuration (a program to launch, select drivers (kext in the lexicon mac) corresponding to the CM controllers (and its network) to install, reboot and presto ... no hitch with one cares (due to HDD error § GPT) who asked me for a little research time to find the solution on the web. Installing Windows 8.1 will not present much of a problem either (although paradoxically less integrated and more cumbersome than install / configure with things like, to set up your account, please enter your PIN as we § send mail practice for someone who does not necessarily have access to the mall because it is currently installing the OS that will allow him to go on the net ...). As against those who would care to install Windows 7, I struggled for nearly a week trying to pass the preinstallation phase windows claimed me as a driver (certainly the SATA 3 or USB3 provided in the CD motherboard ) ... do not ask me if I tried this or that thing I had to do it (check the BIOS, change the USB 2.0 / USB3 before / during / after / copy the drivers to the hard disk / key botable / redo iso with / without use three different ISO source (both original and last in spite ...) then I installed windows despite 8.1 to uninstall it immediately (garish interface Rubbish contrast for reading on screen (screen 23 'Samsung SyncMaster banal) that stings the eyes, not very intuitive for those who want a desktop computer, you have to guess that the corners of the screen activate the menus ... running from one corner to the other with the same screen with mouse § OSX white and gray color that does not dazzle, excellent legibility for reading on screen but hey all this rule will be told ......). So I retried a Windows 7 installation (mad to have kept an old license for anything ...) with the same initial conditions (repartitionnage, same key / ISO even the first time) and it worked so that I was not before the ord. Not understood. It had to be me ... or my cat. Other problems that may face some it is the USB keyboard type. Unacceptable that we should a PS2 adapter to the Windows 7 installation recognizes the keyboard, an operating system from 2010 - Windows 8.1 I have not had time to check, the keypad was on the PS2 Adapter when the installation has worked. For indication, configure the hackintosh was a treat and took me 2-3 hours (excluding downloading the OS) of my time and the ordo was fully exploitable (internet, email, pdf, office suite ...) . Honestly, Windows 8.1 took the same (a little longer time to find his bearings on the interface). Windows 7 not including the week of baldness and the establishment of 3 key bootable has taken me more than 6-8 hours of updates since SP1 and successive configuration and reboot to start having something exploitable (a antivirus, pdf reader, alternative browser to IE and base modules, an email message). 20 minutes after this ordeal and some manipulation later (HDD connection, bios), I had a Dual Boot Win7 / OSX.
