The Beamer collects over time dust at some point in the light channel, which is not accessible to the owner. This results in more and more becoming bright spots. One can not and must cleanse him him to send it every time itself. Do not ask me what that costs for out of warranty time! Takes each time at least three weeks. I will therefore, after the third repair attempt probably try a different brand.
To clearly say this: Had not the BenQ this problem, it would certainly 5 star. But this 5 star he creates (with me) only 4-6 months, after which the picture quality is simply no longer acceptable. The dealer asked me in the first return, whether it would be particularly dusty because for me, which of course is nonsense. Nevertheless, there is a problem may not be as often when the projector on the ceiling hangs (for me it is on a TV console cabinet). But I think that's just a matter of time and even that BenQ is simply not manage this problem in its projectors (my first BenQ with XGA resolution had the same phenomenon) to get to grips with.
I am also thankful for every tip, how to solve the problem myself, because I would like to reserve the unit. Unfortunately, I could help because none yet.
Update 17/10/2013: The bright spots are again increasing. My dealer says it's an isolated incident (although I now but could find some cases in the network) and he could not replace me the projector. Benq insist to have three repair attempts. The I have to admit Benq well and then can walk after the third repair.
Anyone who suspects that he could get this problem also should think twice about buying or schedule the three repair attempts á 3-4 weeks with.
