Sure I am, however, also already in the following aspect: Whoever wants to can easily spend hundreds of hours in Skyrim. The price-performance ratio, calculated on the season, is therefore sure to be very good rate!
The MSRP of the Publishers is clearly overstated. Unusually high for a collector's edition, which also does not contain very many offerings.
Whether the price after the release will rapidly decline, we'll see the next few weeks. But I'm frankly strongly believed.
But one after another. What is now exactly in the Collector's Edition and much more important; What is the quality of the individual extras to judge. This of course is a subjective opinion, but I have to be myself tried as objectively as possible.
'This is really a huge thing'. This fact can hardly be denied, once you open the package. I have never seen such a large games package. WOW. It is also beautifully designed; on the outside is printed a very nice artwork.
Sooner or later, this huge box must of course also be stored somewhere, because it is much too big for standing course.
So let's take a look inside the monstrous package!
First encountered when opening a carton of a book. The art book with over 200 pages of concept art and commentary. Of course, all translated in color and in the German language. It is about A4 size and bound in leatherette. The hardcover is surrounded by characters in Dragon magazine, which are embossed into the leather. In the middle of large emblazoned the Skyrim logo, it is not made of real metal, but of a silver layer which is also stamped into the leather. In addition, there are slight 'dirt' on the envelope, which should create a worn look. TOP! So I imagine a artbook.
Among them are before the game case. Very nice: it is a slipcase without USK logo etc .. Inside is a game disc and a making-of DVD.
Furthermore, of course, a thin (approx. 20 pages), but color manual.
The card that comes, however, also in the 'Day One Edition' of the game, can be found here (Whether it is qualitatively the same card I do not know).
Although the card is not really a 'leash like substance', but not from ordinary paper. It is difficult to say what it is for a material, either it is highly structured and resistant paper, or a kind of plastic.
I was spontaneously reminded it on a thin plastic tablecloth or something similar. Anyway, the card is very beautiful printed!
In my opinion, especially beautiful: All place names on the map have been translated into German. Much like in the Lord of the Rings books.
So overall success. A 'real' fabric card would have preferred anyway!
Now to the main bonus of the Games, the plastic dragon.
He's really big (a little larger than I imagined it) and is located together with the base securely packed in a styrofoam box. Exemplary! For what is more disappointing than a broken figure in the mail? The base itself is hollow and made of typical cheap plastic. Not quite ugly, but really nice looks different! There is a much better base processed at a photo on the enclosed list building, the statue does not sit well so accurate to size, as shown. With some tinkering, it should, however, still work and sit reasonably determined. The dragon itself consists of several individual parts, but this falls only by very close look at. In some places also fall on awkward shapes by casting. The paint is managed on the whole.
My Conclusion:
About the Collector's Edition I am divided. In any case, the recommended retail price is clearly too high. Approximately 33% less in my view been more appropriate. The plastic dragon is a double-edged sword. On the one hand it looks quite good, but it is difficult to store due to its sheer size. If one it 'open' in the room it is probably fast for dust collector, through the interface with the many stings he will also also hard to remove dust. It would have done a slightly smaller addition. The best of metal, such as the miniature Morrowind or the very nice coin from the Oblivion CE. Well so be it, my Collector's Edition collection is therefore still completely.
The quality of the card should have been significantly higher quality at the price. Happy I would have also another extra as the original soundtrack, which is unfortunately only available separately!
My personal highlight of the CE is definitely the artbook. Probably you scroll it not constantly, but by its high-quality appearance, it also serves as a convenient desk decoration for all Elder Scrolls fans!
So: As a true fan of the show can be accessed safely, or possibly wait if the price is still falling!
My conclusion in school grades:
Value for money (of Physical Tools): 3
Scope of the Collector's Edition: 3
Processing Dragon: 2
Processing base (the dragon): 4
Grabber: 2
Processing artbook: 1
