Installation:

The DiskStation provides an appropriate software for controlling IP-Cams; this software must be in the DiskStation administrative downloaded from the Package Center and installed and is then available via the main menu under the name "Surveillance Station" is available.
After the first start of the Surveillance Station you land automatically in the management of cameras, where you can add the wireless camera on the Add button (make sure that other browser windows are closed to Cam): query against, inter alia Camera (select course "INSTAR") name, IP address (without "[...]"), the manufacturer, camera model (here, of course, "IN-2905" select) as well as user name and password. As you can see from the specifications, this camera will thus already FACTORY FROM NAS supports! Excellent! Speaking of motion detection: The NAS provides two types of motion detection - by Kam-Built or via NAS software. I have not dealt with the built-in motion detection Kam automatic, but can say that it works; I ultimately decided on the NAS motion detection, I could define precise image areas and thresholds and object size accurately here.

Of course, this camera is not a panacea with zoom and tilt gimmicks. But I do not use this camera indeed for multiview live high-tech satellite monitoring, but for stationary short range surveillance applications outdoors to keep track in the worst case can, who, when the bike shed enter. For this purpose, this camera - in connection with Synology NAS network storage device - ideal for very good value for money in my view; for me a perfect purchase!
Again, of course, applies the known motto "You get what you pay for". However, I can not see where I have eight times more expensive Kam for my purpose a decisive advantage.
