The grip is fast, ergonomic and natural controls, and despite the immense range of possible actions is all done very naturally.
The sandbox side is successful. We walk in Manhattan almost as large and well made than GTA, except that here one can run on the facades of buildings, jumping from one roof to another (even when power has improved his jump from a sudden two or three buildings), hover, fly tanks or helicopters etc ... are all giving a sense of freedom of movement rather exceptional.
The fighting is fast, intense, and very very destructive to the environment. Imagine jumping off the Empire State Building in the middle of a horde of mutants and soldiers trying to compete in thirty flying through the impact of your landing catch a truck and run with it before starting on a combat helicopter, spray in ten seconds the remaining twenty mobs with your special attacks, before stealing a tank to completely shave the nearest military base ... That happiness.
The environment is quite widely destructible (everything can be destroyed except normal buildings that can only be done under certain conditions), but unlike Red Faction or the physics engine is at the center of the game (which makes it pretty quickly tiresome since this one has to do is summed up in general to destroy a building or buildings) in Prototype it fits very naturally to the game, and just lets you see how your character is powerful and destructive.
Add to that a great infiltration system which allows to absorb humanoids and then make their appearance, for example to infiltrate a military base, and will absorb some specialists that will enhance your abilities (such as pilotage, use arms ...), a well-crafted plot, full of mini games (running on roofs, destruction, infiltration ...), a system of xp to buy very many powers, an atmosphere rather successful and you get a very good game in the end.
