The principle is to share music sotckée on a server (either on a personal computer, the Internet or on a local NAS server) throughout the house. Each station or chain must be fitted with a receiver, the remote control with the ability to connect the receiver to the right server music and playing music.
As I do not wish to leave a computer (server) on permanently at home, I chose to host music on a Netgear ReadyNAS.
The configuration is very intuitive and does not require extensive knowledge network. The remote control detects and connects potential new receivers in the home network. We can even give them explicit names for the following: 'Room' 'salon', etc.
You can choose to connect via ethernet cable receivers or by wifi.
The system is very stable very extensible (based on Linux) and is updated automatically as needed. We could just blame him precisely this update that does not even request confirmation and is mandatory.
It's perfect for music (he even has an optical output), the next step will be the video sharing !!
