POSITIVE:
- Really SAUHELL, 70 lumens in red are not kidding. It is not only obvious, it also sheds light on the rear wheel and the road behind. Also remains uniform sauhell over the entire term.
- Good flash modes! In addition to the usual time-On (steady) and the rapid blinking, there is a mode "Chaser", which creates a really nice vibrant chaser of four LEDs. Very visible, but not so aggressive - like the "Eco-Mode". He is indeed with 20h duration of economical, but I would call it a pesky Flasher. In between, there is the "peleton" mode, the relatively normal lights with just two LEDs.
- Stylish design - certainly a matter of taste, but I like it.
- REALLY without tools! Installation is a breeze, very easy even with cold fingers. Is secure.
NEUTRAL:
- Aufladenippel sits inconveniently between the retaining clip, actually to achieve only with enclosed Ladelkabel. Take away! (See below)
- Charging time 5-6h but with very high loads for more than it illuminates. No charge status recognized.
- Takes a lot of space. Certainly, that comes with the design, but by the very narrow mounting on the seat post because there is no compromise. 10cm for easy assembly and (reasonably) easy operation you should reserve.
- Battery life: The majority at steady fashion I came to just under 3 hours - goes like this. 4 would be more likely to have what I would have expected for the manufacturer data.
- Holder makes a little robust impression, hopefully keeps the massive metal buckle does not really fit the silicone bands and the thin plastic hook on the other side..
NEGATIVE:
- Visibility: Yes, you can see the light from a wide angle, but from the side it is more than a smoldering glow. In road traffic, too little, that's better!
- Operation: The knob is not only tiny, he still sits behind the light, close to the seat post. I do not have fat fingers and the light must still bend away somewhat from the support to turn it. Difficult to palpate, virtually no tactile feedback. While driving or with long gloves can not be operated!
- Battery indicator: While the battery indicator (pin Large LED in the switch) during charging at least two modes knows - red = charging, green = fully - it is in operation only one: red. That is about 15% residual capacity and thus in steady mode only 30min runtime. Then the light is finally out and is no longer in a sleep mode etc. switch. It's too dangerous even at the border ... A third party display mode orange = 50-15% would surely have been possible? Especially stupid is that you can not see while driving the battery indicator due to the location. Effectively you have to remember how long it was on its way and recharge on suspicion ... really stupid So!
- Battery not replaceable: Can that really be so hard ??
Conclusion: my brightest light so far, but also with significant weaknesses in the implementation. It is particularly annoying that some of them could be improved with little effort (such as battery level, retaining clip). Priced at just under 50. Just at the threshold of pain for price / performance
Would I buy it again - I do not think so.
