Another shortcoming is the quality of the movements. Be rough tracking shots shown so there is nothing wrong. A word of advice at this point: The marketed by this TV 400Hz - actually window dressing because in true 100Hz is closing - ranging from completely for all purposes. There is little reason to resort to the more expensive, for example LA7408 which ostensibly brings 800Hz, but no visible improvement shows. What is truly phenomenal - at least in view of the dimensions of the TV - is the quality of the sound. I would have never imagined in a dream that made this slim casing, which is equipped with a so-called "Subwoofer" can come out such a voluminous sound. Have just IRON MAN 2 looked at the telly. Of course, missing deep bass, but the sound is still much "bässer" than I would have thought it possible.

Addendum dated 26.09.2013: Actually, the technician wanted to have stepped forward to yesterday. A call to LG brought to light that a replacement panel was not available, the competent company therefore receive a replacement device. I do not know whether I should find so good, I now had some bad luck already with two devices of this type.
By the way: Last night, a software update performed (The required file dated 24 September and therefore is fully up to date, you can download on the LG-Page under the appropriate device name). My conclusion: the picture is now better overall, balanced, sharper - great! To be so absurd as it may sound, seems also the Clouding become less (maybe this is related to overall better image parameters together). What is still horrible, is the representation of complex movements. Marching somebody example quickly from left to right by image, he prefers to artifacts that one might think, the person wearing a veil on the body. There must be something definitely improved, as this television is fun getrügt arg.

Addendum of 27/09/2013: The LG technician was there today. Since the Clouding problem had done after the software update for the most part - the technician explained that this is probably so that relationships that the new parameters specify the chip, giving the LEDs less "power" to - I only gave a defect that unclean movements. On the good-quality DVD "Another 48 Hours" is in Chapter 2, a very beautiful scene suitable, heat quickly in the motorcycles by's image. This shows the movement problems in all their glory. have not expressed myself long, but the TV now already some time and can final say or write:
- I am still of the opinion that the 6918 can deliver fantastic pictures. The focus, color images, the contrast - Topp at first glance everything.
- The black level is only good on the day, sometimes even astonishing - from afternoon when the screen brightness is beginning to outshine the natural light, the black gives way to a mushy middle gray. Can improvise minimum you only by extremely turning down the TV backlight (to about "40" to "50") - but that's then strong loss of quality with it. Another alternative: tinkering itself a more or less bright Hintergrungbeleuchtung which to attach directly behind the TV - so the Black then also looks good again ... but this approach is very critical, especially if you 3D movies want to see, which can mean strong irritation caused by these additional lighting or glare. Overall, however, remains to be said that the issue of "Black" in LCD / LED TVs will always remain one. Who wants 100% black, must remain at the tube or switch to plasma.
- Movements seen on the 6918 really ambivalent. As already written, total camera pans are top but move individual image content, so tear it completely. Thus, the TV of the ball, the "Hancock" throws in a high arc in a basketball hoop, do not constitute, without "halve" him in the air. Worse still move more complex image content, which have a very fine structure, they are partly so shredded that the entire image can be referred to only as a disaster. The possible remedy: one on the motion correction off completely, but then the camera movements are jerky. Since pans more often in films, ie when in still images complex moving parts of the image, the correction function is generally preferable. In 3D mode, this Zerrerei bother especially. "Ghosting" may be a little problem of TVs, added the misinformation occurring through for defective movement representation, who spoiled me the 3D fun quite decent. 3D is not very important to me, but how it works is not yet. Interestingly movement problems there are in the case of video games (in my case XBOX360) no. Here everything is clean, and motion errors - no matter how fast and choppy moves - to make out in any way. Why this is so, I do not know and I do not want to even speculate about it.
- A few weeks after purchasing the device, I have also set up the wireless network of TVs. This is - at least in the circumstances provided by me (new T-Com router nearby + 16.000-er-line) an impertinence. Not only that continually break off streams, and the software of LG works so so (sorry that I have to write it so clearly) bes *** that the TV constantly hangs - switching off and on is the necessary consequence. In short, the Internet gives me the TV no fun, costs instead only nervous. The TV is in my way, to "Auto-Update", he is constantly on the cutting edge - it's so can not lie.
My very clear conclusion as demanding gazers: This TV will not be very old to me. He has clear strengths, however, are his weaknesses for my perception and claims too bad and unacceptable. Had he a cheap entry-level, I would say a definite buy recommendation for him. Maybe I'll try it soon with the 7408, which delivers 400 instead of whole 800Hz - a property which I may have underestimated. Let's see if the movement can do better.
In addition, the big brother has any better Internet, a feature that is not really important to me, but in my opinion should just work.
