By cons, recessed sockets are exactly the same as the taken mated, the plastic box less.
The wiring is easy to implement once you have the technique.
If you wire with single strand Cat6, do get the cable in the direction of the alignment of the RJ45 jack.
For example, if the catch is aligned horizontally, do get the cable through the right or left side. If catches are aligned vertically, do get the cable through the top or bottom. For the single-stranded Cat6 cable bends badly. No way to make zigzags in the case.
To make your connection, you need a comb tool for pushing son in the slots. I did not so I used a fine precision screwdriver. It's a little hard but it works. Place your son on the slots and push them to the bottom with the screwdriver slightly at an angle to the axis of the wire.
Do not attach your cable to your wall or in your ducts before making the connection history to still have some slack easily work out of the socket. Once your connections made, you can pull the cable out of the socket to secure the unit in the housing and fix the cable to your wall.
Hope this helps.
In any case, these boxes exude solidity and especially cost twice cheaper than the Leg.and.
