This shoe I bought as a complement to my running shoes. Especially on wet, muddy trails and in winter they are overwhelmed. The profile has a good grip even on steeper sections, permanent slipping thing of the past. My "normal" running shoes are also from Asics. I actually size 45 (max. 46), here I need size 48, which is good enough for my road running shoes, a little tight turns in the trail shoes the same brand. Total buy recommendation.
