This clear book and offered at a great price in my opinion is an excellent guide to practice fasting for a week autonomously (I do, however, have not read the other). The author proposes a fasting that is not total because it includes beverages other than water, such as herbal teas, vegetable broth, fruit or vegetable juice. After describing the benefits of fasting, the author analyzes in detail the stages of his practice (preparation, transition date and the first day of fasting, fasting himself food recovery) focusing on the importance of food recovery period (two days of recovery is included in seven of fasting). It provides all the necessary information, including standard menus (vegetarian but unfortunately not vegan). In conclusion, it evokes the longest practices, including therapeutic fasting, which are practiced under medical supervision and in the ideal "clinical" specialized. This 2011 reissue is the translation in 1984 of the thirteenth German edition of "Wie durch Fasten Neugeboren".
