I am 3 years Nokia users (last E61i) and satisfied. Professionally, I use only Apple hardware and software. Very satisfied. Nokia and Apple are always perfect to sync.
I have long hesitated between iPhone and Nokia N97 - but for me I important to have a physical keyboard.
And my Phone to individual iseren - I do not mean thousands gimmick applications but real settings (clearly do well to me bissl play on the Phone fun - but that does half an hour).
I was in doubt - even after initial contact, although it felt good, but comparing the time, especially as Apple users).
What can I say - for some jobs and also some frustration experiences, I'm always satisfied.
Because the Nokia N97 meets all multimedia and business functions very well, and can be, more recently, with a very good Nokia software mult media to your Mac connect (complete sync with iTunes - with covers, etc., iPhoto etc. pp -. Surprisingly smoothly - Class)!.
Ie. is for me also, my iPod has now difficult because the 32 GB I did yesterday with my iTunes synced (by the way, both via USB and Blutooth possible - see iPhone).
In addition, the sound on (! Non-Nokia) Headphones is very good - always use PortaPro by Koss (better than all iPhones, ear or the like.). The sound from the speakers is loud but the way "hm" - definitely worse than that of the Nokia E61i - maybe because there's still an update.
Sure, the touch screen is not as sexy "moving" to the iPhone - definitely.
The leaves on the first impression and also playful use later by the capacitive technology.
BUT (and this has become my only later realize):
The resistive technology while Nokia can be controlled more accurately - ie, I can whether its smallness also click a link on a website with the fingernail - works just fine. Since zooming and moving mostly unötitg. If one shifts the pressure of the finger nail towards the much-touted "iPhone feeeling" is definitely on - even if it me personally (after I "played" had) was not important.
And - and scarcely anywhere reviewed: The resolution of the screen is the Nokia substantially higher (640 x 360 to 480 x 320 iPhone), as one sees more and can also read small fonts bsser. You realize clearly just the web!
The reaction speed of the N97 is good compared with the iPhone, it feels but tough on. But it shows only if one day the two side by side used - something bulky in the long run)
But that Nokia can do more:
The digital "real" Compass is hardly mentioned anywhere - but is exactly the same as the iPhone - and works well so! Very useful feature. GPS is also also found very quickly.
The position sensors by the way also - the same games and applications are available and partly available.
The camera is for something setting (found here) very good, the free downloadable Softare of Nokia Photo Browser very cool (photos in timeline with Kinetic Scrolling - very good approach). And she has a good lightning - the thus truly meaningful Photos fabricated to most times of the day. Video in 16: 9 format also very good.
Bluetooth in all walks of life - sometimes fast dates or a new title iTunes sync - easy.
Very sinnvoles Feature (now tested!) - The FM station. No toys (I thought even only), but extremely practical, because the quality is very good.
Whether at home or in hotel - phone anschmeissen, tune to stations, and you can hear his tunes on the system, the TV, car radio (Car) whatever.
Internet via WLAN and GSM / UMTS very good, because you can prioritize the connections, so I will only example ever tried wifi - so Piorität 1 etc.
Browser is comfortable and quick and can also partially Play Flash.
The Nokia also can be used without restrictions easily as HSDPA modem (also on MAC).
The software interfaces are well designed - the third party have as yet to catch up - as Apple is classes better - enforced by their clever app kit for developers.
The only real (current) downer for me:
There is no original iSync plugin from Nokia (always perfect) and the very good of Mactomster didnt (iCal works well) problem with the address .Mactomster working on it - is therefore the next few days.
I decided to stay with the Nokia. The iPhone is elegant and playful in the operation, the operating system is easy and fast, has a great App Store.
The Nokia is also designtechisch succeeded, but straighter, sometimes somewhat slower, but always surprised by practical and useful features (by that I mean not only the keyboard) - and, more recently, beyond the normal iSync beyond a very good free Mac software ( Nokia Multimedia Transfer), with no more disadvantage is felt to iPod.
Except maybe that one the songs even without any problems from Nokia also can again transfer to any other computer - without sync clear all memory of Nokia)
If the iPhone even come with a keyboard and a few real features - and without pink panther without modem restrictions without iTunes rights-blockages (Sync = Delete) - then maybe I Think again.
PS: That a Firmewar update comes, is normal. The iPhone was half a year after its market launch buggy - until after many updates stability was announced. Even normal. And as you can hear, there are neat thing to do even with iPhone OS version 3.0.
The Nokia is now straight times out 2 weeks ago - and completely re = launch. So just a little more caution in the partially cerebellum controlled comments)
