On the inside of the mortar supplied unfortunately two chips that I would accept at most B-Ware (see pictures). Therefore, I send the item back to redeem. Whether the granite used is too soft and eventual stone dust will disturb show in subsequent use.
Exchange 1:
The new mortar has interior right in the middle, an approximately 2 mm high elevation, with the plunger and a piece of metal I could scrape the collection in a few minutes. Vermutich a remnant from the milling. Surprising that such errors in the final will not be sorted out?
to high abrasion:
The mortar is internally milled only very roughly. The rough surface with its many bumps and the softness of the granite used causes very long forms much finer gray stone dust. While this dust is allegedly unbedenktlich, I want to personally do not have this in my food. One must not be fooled by the name granite. Under this term hundreds of different rock types are summarized that are very different in their characteristics and appearance (see eg natursteinhilfe.de in our China. Visually, the mortar in the little stone "Verde Assoluto G 4101").
So I checked the manufacturer Kesper. This has besÃĪtigt me food authenticity of mortar and sent to a report of material testing by the company Wessling (Altenberg).
Perhaps the Kesper mortar would after a few weeks of use, if any irregularities have worn, also free from abrasion. As long as I do not want to wait. The manufacturer would do well, the mortar to grind smooth inside, instead of just roughly mill out.
CONCLUSION:
Although visually a really nice mortar, I have the part given back. I got myself a mortar in Asia Shop for almost the same price.
Whose material is: 1. a little harder and 2. the inside is sanded clean. Here no visible abrasion forms.
