The new remastered version is sonically top, the sound is crystal clear and transparent. Whereas you had to say that Pink Floyd always moving on the status of technical feasibility. In this respect the contrast to the previous CD-spending is not just big, it shows most in shades improvement.
That alone would be no sales argument, any more than the simple cardboard sleeve, which arrived already slightly bent with me. The printed band photos from the recording sessions are already included on the CD edition from the 90s; the cover photos of Storm Thorgerson are well known.
What do these "Experience Edition" makes recommendable is the second CD. It contains mainly live recordings of the Wembley concerts of 1974. At that time, Pink Floyd presented three brand new longtracks, of which at that time no one was published: "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", "Raving and Drooling" and "You've got to be crazy "(the latter two were only in 1977 on" Animals released "in revised versions as" Sheep "or" Dogs "). To date there have been listening to the '74 concerts passable bootlegs. Now they appear for the first time officially, namely polished powerful and reassembled. Technically sound you can still get out some. As if Waters would be in the living room in front of a class ....
Although this is only an excerpt of that shows, but give the CD a taste of the Pink Floyd tours the 70s. Strange but true: Even though it was the most successful decade of the band, appearing only now officially live recordings of the decade - long overdue!
Of course, "Raving and Drooling" and "You've got to be crazy" as a bonus for the possible "Animals" -Neuauflage would have been interesting, hope for the many fans. But of these two pieces, there should be other usable recordings, eg of the 75s US tour, or just from the "Animals" tour in 1977. These pieces evolved so over time, so there are several versions. In the present WYWH Reissue they have their place, because they come from this stage, were often played together and even then was talking, they grab onto a plate.
Otherwise, the bonus disc still contains alternate versions of "Wish You Were Here" (with violin) and "Have a Cigar" (with vocals Waters) and a fragment of the "Household Objects" sessions where making music, on objects from the kitchen was - an experiment that gave the band quickly. You can hear here the "singing" wine glasses, backed by synthesizers. It based the intro of "Shine On ..." So who hoped here on more exotic, is likely to be somewhat disappointed.
This is what the highest rating and the purchase recommendation could not be stopped.
