The brand new 3rd album "For Those Who Wait" includes high seamlessly from the two predecessors "The Healing of Harms" (2006) and "Unbreakable" (2008) at: Stylistically Fireflight have remained true and can be a no experiments, So pursue their line with a lot of hitverdächtiger melodies, good guitar work, popular choruses and many tempo changes.
First and foremost singer Dawn Michele, the figurehead of the Christian hard rock band, has increased again. The lyrics are accustomed meaningful with real messages.
Musically the journey with the 3rd album comes to a track more towards mainstream, you may have missed some really groovy numbers like "Waiting" from the first album and it takes just 3 to 4 listening passages until it lifted all the musical treasures has. But that is probably at the bit "smoother" production - one wants to halt mitfischen also in the waters of Radio-rock bands like Nickelback.
The amazing and gratifying to Fireflight is but for me the high musical quality of their songs, which was held in the new album: there is practically not a single weak song - Compliment!
Here are my favorites:
1. For Those Who wait --- (9/10) --- good, melodic opener with beautiful symphonic sounds, in the style of Skillet
2. Desperate --- (10/10) --- typical Fireflight Power Rocker, comparable to "Unbreakable"
3. Fire In My Eyes - (9/10) --- good hard guitar riff at the beginning, then turns into a listenable mid-tempo number
5. What I've Overcome --- (9/10) --- begins ballad-like and increases at the end of the piece
7. New Perspective --- (9/10) --- the fastest of the album number, vocally very impressive
9. All I need to be --- (10/10) --- typical Fireflight hammer ballad, a musical treat for the ears
10. Recovery begins --- (10/10) --- strong finish: my favorite song, a very soulful, almost "floating" ballad with a beautiful piano intro, the song sounds somewhat different from the usual Fireflight ballads, for Upcoming Albums Please more of these songs!
CONCLUSION:
a must for all melodic hard rock fans,
(Women) Pure power - hard rock at its finest,
for those who are into bands like Skillet, 12 Stones, Submersed, Flyleaf and Breaking Benjamin,
strong buy recommendation!
