Soon as a preface. So I bought the Better Arcturus, because I first wanted to familiarize Astronomy / Telescopes in the matter, without spending equal to hundreds of euros. I had already made myself beforehand in various forums, websites and books Astro knowledgeable and I was therefore already aware of what I expected. The Arcturus itself is indeed delivered in a hard case and it is, in principle, everything first doing what you need to start with, where some of it is not necessarily of the best quality. But it's with a two exceptions all still in the frame. What I was a bit disappointed is that the assembly instructions are still kept quite short. Well, once you've built it, it is no longer a problem, but if the case is opened for the first time but is something here that you can not assign directly. But as I said, in principle, no problem if you have done it once. What is also not part of quality default to all the best viewfinder and the lens reversal. The mount comes forth from the stability, if you get used to it. The eyepieces is a subject in itself. In principle, the H20 and H12,5 goes as far as the SR4 is really only usable on the moon. I have thus even before observe the Saturn, but that's very difficult, because the SR4 has far too little field. As I said who makes an effort may know Him (the size is then something like this, as if you hold a pea held at arm in hand, only the Saturn has a ring just ;-) What was even halfway clearly visible are the Pleiades and the Orion Nebula, which is recognized only as a faint glimmer. What I can give a tip is, you should definitely buy two slightly better eyepieces so. I can recommend as a 32mm Plössl, then you no longer need usually also the viewfinder and then I would have a wide angle between 6 and 9mm recommended (eg. The Skywatcher UWA) The difference is already huge and this also shows that the optical power of Arcturus itself is quite ok. I bought appropriate eyepieces and you immediately see many more stars, and the moon or Saturn is directly easier to see much. Even Titan (a moon stature) is now visible. Conclusion: For the thing that I wanted to try it, the Arcturus is perfectly fine. Who just wants to look at the moon times closer, or even want to see Saturn with my own eyes, it is also suitable. Who but pictures from the Nasa expects ought to grab a better telescope.
