The benchmark was for a rather weaker predecessor (DarkSouls2) slightly lower than usual but Bloodborne could occupy myself in more than 150 hours of play until I'm writing this review ... (of course only after the platinum trophy understood: D)
Combat system:
It took me totally convinced.
I was very skeptical that it is played completely without a shield, because I played in all previous Souls parts as "tank" with a lot of life and overcame a big sign, I was, however disabused.
The combat system is by far the most elaborate and most intuitive of all previously played action role-playing games (Souls parts included). Dodge goes quickly, just as the use of healing potions and various combinable Moves are really varied, unlike the Souls parts.
Difficulty:
For me as Souls "veterans" At first it was really difficult access as well as the key assignments have been slightly modified and the old one is still used Moveset Souls. I often expressed L1 out of habit to my nonexistent Shield draw xD.
But otherwise Bloodborne is by no means easy, provided you play alone.
All Souls disciples can breathe easy in terms of difficulty. Bloodborne as its predecessors but sauhart fair.
Bosse:
Very good enjoyed the Boss design which is much more varied compared to Dark Souls 2.
The bosses are incredibly well designed and have a wide Moveset so the Boss Fights are the clear highlight of bloodborne.
Weapons:
Here I was only disillusioned that it should be only about 26 weapons.
Since it was more usual, but unlike the Souls play where a choice of dozens of weapons had weapons of which anyway only 2-3 have been used and which differed in Moveset only in the categories of weapons, Bloodborne is there quite different.
Each weapon has its own unique charm ... their own Moveset and 2 different Waffenmodi are even reversible in the middle of an attack chain. You sit down on a gun firmly whose Moveset best suits his style of play and there is nich "the best weapon" because all weapons are well balanced, so you can play through without problems with one of the very first weapons.
Level Design:
There are also purely nothing to complain about. The areas are all lovingly detailed and structurally simple top.
Graphics: Nothing to complain about but not over the top graphics bomb.
But who buys From Software title because of the graphics when it comes to pure gameplay.
Negative points:
- Clearly the charging time. In part, this has a really annoyed that you have to wait endlessly when died after a Boss.
Solution: just will not die; D (to be reduced in future firmware update)
- The Checkpoint / teleport system which can not be a Checkpoint to Ceckpoint quick travel but you have to retire to his main base and then teleport back to the other point.
Conclusion:
+ Combat system outstanding
+ Boss fights make real mood
+ Difficulty is perfect
+ Level Design top
+ Graphics good
-Ladezeiten Partially extremely long
How could read already, I am apart from the loading times fully convinced.
This game is a clear contender for the 2015 award GameOfTheYear.
Just buy it !!!
