Carrie (Paperback)

Customer Review

Carrie, under the yoke of a bigoted mother - who may not have settled accounts with his first love - lives in a no man's land emotional, torn between his desire to get out of this maternal bondieuserie and maladjustment Social she would ward off, ignoring the herd of beasts codes teenagers and villains of his time.
Five elements will telescope to give substance to this tragedy: the cruelty of some diehard teenagers, Carrie distress, madness of his mother, the rigidity of the educational institution (which maintains the supreme punishment: no ball end of year for Chris), and finally, empathy, compassion Sue (who "sacrificed" her boyfriend and his participation in the prom).
The whole story is set before us on a pace that King was not always secret, where the narration in the third person (often dusted deep thoughts of the characters, especially Carrie) is marked by extracts from books (the Shadow dissipated, the autobiography of Sue Snell), the Commission of Inquiry, testimonies which have been made after the tragedy.
The American company seeking to understand what has been happening, but also want - quickly - to put it all under the carpet.
Stephen King that very pugnacious - for his first novel - does not hesitate to virtually scratch a city map with formidable efficiency. This will not be the last ...
I read Carrie there almost thirty years, I took pleasure in rediscovering.
