My current equipment:
Olympus OM-D E-M5 black; OM-D E-M5 silver; E-PL1
Two OM-D E-M5 since the handle, the battery, the accessories fit.
Would have liked the OM-D E-M10 taken but again buy new accessories and lug everything twice, no thanks.
But now to the adapter for the good old Carl Zeiss Jena and Meyer optics Görlitz lenses with M42 connector.
I use the:
Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 1.8 / 50 results on the E-M5 a stabilisierts 1.8 / 100 lens.
Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 3.5 / 135 gives the E-M5 a stabilized 3.5 / 270 lens.
Meyer optics Görlitz Primotar 3.5 / 180 gives the E-M5 a stabilized 3.5 / 360 lens.
Got me an adapter for each lens purchased, so no need to constantly change.
The adapters are working very stable and sit perfectly on the O-MD.
The adapter has an inner ring, the automatic lenses can be used with.
Thus, the aperture ring of M42 lenses can be brought into the desired position up you have to the adapter using the supplied Allen key loosen three screws carefully and turn the threaded inner ring to the desired position.
With screwed lens, simply move the red dot and the lettering M42 / MFt the adapter towards the aperture ring of M42 lenses and the aperture setting is at the top.
Tighten the screws again, ready.
This works at least with all Carl Zeiss Jena, Pentacon and Meyer optics Görlitz lenses, others I do not use.
Infinity setting will remain and you can make the M42 lenses clean sharp, nothing turns away or rattles or has game.
I've already tried some adapters, this one is the perfect solution and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable.
