There is hardly any other Five consequence the atmosphere has got such a fit, as on the cruise ship "Santa Maria" in which there are the Famous Five. Here drives the "Black Mask" to mischief, a master thief who brings gradually the passengers to their treasures. Passengers (in addition to the five friends) are presented wonderfully, like Max Normand, the "upper Witch Helene" Miss Ping, etc. This is really fun!
Here you can in this adventure of five friends (on first hearing) really puzzled about who's probably behind the black mask. This has a little bit of Agatha Christie and increases the tension enormous.
Actually, I am always skeptical when original parts are replaced and new stories are added to the originals, but in "The Famous Five and the black mask" this time it's really well done.
