This camera model: Foscam FI9831W it all works properly.
After unpacking and plugging in the LAN the camera is immediately with the enclosed software found. The SW is only required for the initial start-up to make the network settings.
The multilingual (also German) web interface is structured properly. Thus, all the camera functions can be easily set.
The WLAN module for 802.11n standard can handle up to 63 characters with WPA2 passwords and has WPS. That is in other cameras do not always the case.
The movements of the camera can be changed in the speed and the image is razor sharp with 1.3 MP and the colors and brightness very good indeed.
Pictures can be taken on an SD card, for example by motion detection. The device supports DynDNS for remote access and can send alerts by e-mail. Of course, FTP goes.
I run the camera to a Synology DS414 with Surveillance Station. This works just fine.
The only drawback: If the camera is operated in the web interface, is the Internet Explorer requires tracking. The IE loads directly from the cam when you first configure a plug down. Just so are all the features available. In Firefox, for example, missing a few tabs.
