I have this CD in the media department of a department store overheard (really wanted a computer cable buy), Achim Reichel recognized distinctive voice, it bought spontaneously - and no regrets. This album has no depth, but only highs. A Listen-eliminated because everyone who grew up in the German-speaking countries, these melodies carries consciousness in the (sub).
The beautiful old familiar ways are formally recreates through innovative rhythm design, imaginative instrumental accompaniment, and not least by Achim Reichel's vocal interpretation that does not lacks respect for the ancient songs in the least despite all the looseness. Also, the Achim Reichel-typical "around eggs" to the appropriate tones does not bother me personally here, but also contributes to a timely implementation in. The songs are sung with devotion, which one can not escape when listening to: sing, -summen, -wippen is almost inevitable.
The album contains both intoxicating joyful and atmospheric melancholic songs that everyone give a special charm for themselves and yet follow a standard and self-part musical concept. The result are folk songs in XL - with hidden size.
Another plus is the lovingly designed CD booklet with some historical background information on the selected song. Please do not download this album from Internet portals, but buy it worthwhile.
Quite outstanding I find in the rest of the idea of this album in the school music lessons to use (see Vorrezension below) to give young people access to a contemporary folk music. I wish such a thing it would have been to my school days.
