In my eyes, you pay the momentum especially for the admittedly great design and authentic chic package layout including great hardcase (I had the Spirit Classic also like). Surely the sound is not wrong and superior to many headphones, but after my intense pre-listening of various models, I would compare the sound momentum rather with headphones of 100 euro class. The difference with the Focal Spirit Classic was so blatant that I have laid almost "disgusted" the momentum after two songs aside and first for a long time have heard the Focal before I then do it again given me a little longer the momentum. It simply lacks clarity and differentiation. The Focal plays much more precisely without falling into too analytical, such as the AKG K701, whose peak heights and sibilance have made an effort already after 30 minutes or even annoyed.
So my conclusion: The momentum is certainly not a bad headphones, but grossly overpriced for what it offers. Were he to have for 100 euros, then the Focal Spirit Classic 2.5 to 3 times would be so expensive and I would consider this difference also because the sound quality is justified. But at just 50 euro surcharge (if the Focal offer is again for ~ 250 Euros) I would again at any time to give this the clear preference over the momentum.
Actually, I originally wanted to give only one star, though I would give the momentum subjectively three star, but three-star reviews read so nobody and all the praises to the skies, there must be a counterweight, too. But a star I felt then but when too hard, that's why there are two.
