Processing and material:
The camera is made of plastic; namely completely. What's here is not a disadvantage, because it does a good and high-quality impression.
The total processing like it very much. Everything has its place and is well incorporated.
The size of the camera I really like, because I like "something" had in his hand.
Only the monitor used in my opinion too coarse resolution; He is quite large.
Features:
The technical details can be easily removed from the Internet, so I give you here again.
Now the most important thing:
Image quality:
First-anticipation for this equipment and the price you really get here what commanded (but unfortunately not a good picture quality !!). Unfortunately, the image quality has to suffer something. In bright light you get at low ISO values (80/100) very good and useful results. Even when fully extended lens, so the maximum telephoto, I have made of my images rated as good. Nothing seemed washed out, details were given in good and the contrast was about the whole picture of time well; as I said, at Iso 80 or 100th
As soon as one chooses, however, Iso 200 and higher, the picture quality is not as good. The colors are washed out, the details disappeared and the contrast values in the image appear very flattened. This has to do with the software-based noise reduction that everything "smooth ironed" .The images then act dull and lifeless. Up to ISO 400 the image quality of this camera is still acceptable, despite strong color noise in dark areas (especially if you have no special demands on the shot pictures!). ISO 800 is absolutely no use for me. Here outweigh the color noise in the dark areas and there is proper heavy patches of color and the images appear very washed out and the details have disappeared. I really do not like that. Flash photography at Iso 200 indoors are bad. Here you can see, despite the flash (!) Noise in dark areas. I know that not so and is for me a "No Go" !.
For macro shots I had to make a little compromise in sharpness. The "pin sharp" feeling at macro images is here not one. I know macro pictures really only with the right focus.
Because the picture quality of the SX130 can not compete with my old (5 years / 9 MP) Finepix F47fd, I have sent the SX130 again on Amazon back. I'll probably go to another league (Canon G12 and Nikon P7100).
Conclusion:
For 130 euros you get a good standard compact camera, unfortunately, to the detriment of image quality. The equipment is unparalleled in this price range.
Anyone looking for a small compact which performs good services, for example on holiday in the sunshine (!), This is your place. Furthermore, it offers plenty of configuration options; Here you can let your creative streak run wild. The one who in addition is also looking at some low light (ISO 200 and higher) would achieve useful results or for example, a secondary camera for its SLR, has to look around for something else. Here, the image quality suffers noticeably lower;
The small sensor with 14 megapixels and the powerful telephoto lenses just take their toll .....
For me, the image quality was not acceptable, compared to my "old" Fujifilm Finepix F47fd with 9 megapixels.
Also in the tests of photo journals good image quality in bright light and low ISO values is always certifies; but it is also always warned of the color noise, which is already visible at ISO 200. Now I know why.
I am glad that I was able to send the camera back.
PS: Maybe I once again one of the poorer Canon SX 150-caught (series dispersion). Could be yes ....
Oh, that the flash must be folded out when you need it, bother me at all. So at least I have the full control over the flash, and will not be surprised by it.
