Zoom:
18-200mm is sufficient for almost all applications. (11.1 x zoom would be the case of a compact camera).
Who needs a lot more zoom at top image quality is unfortunately find it until the 4th digit.
Image Stabilization:
The Tamron 18-200 mm has no image stabilization, which I had not noticed when buying later. As I had to find but really need this not necessarily. Even at full zoom, the pictures are really sharp even without a tripod.
Of course, only a relatively short shutter speed! With a stabilizer could go here safe 1-2 shutter speeds low and still snap sharp!
Autofocus:
The autofocus works well and quickly, albeit a bit noisy. Who filmed many videos should be possibly to look anywhere else because the sound recording of the movie bothers safe. When taking pictures I think that's not bad.
The lens has a lock switch, this prevents it ect while running. autonomously moves out. Practical!
Optics / haptics:
I find the lens looks quite wertig and feels like that. Better even than my "kit lens"
of my "Canon EOS 700D". It has a gold ring between the well rubberized knobs for focus and zoom.
A lens hood is on board! Top!
Height and weight:
Are absolutely fine, almost small for 18-200 mm. Especially for a lens of 2006. tip!
Image Quality:
I think here about 20 photos uploaded showing the quality is really good.
In direct comparison with my "EOS 700D" kit lens I could see almost no difference.
sharp, rich colors what you want.
Conclusion:
Ingenious lens and absolutely unrivaled for the price. Great 18mm wide-angle shots ect For landscapes. and a large push to birds or distant objects near ranzuholen. All this combines with a class picture quality for about 140. Perfect!
