The Panasonic VIERA TX-55CXW704 139 cm (55 inch) TV (Ultra HD, 4K Smart, 800Hz BMR, 3D, Triple Tuner, DVB-S / T / C) silver is delivered in a very large package. The dimensions of the package blew up my imagination, because I could not believe that the TV is so great. When unpacking one sees but that the TV is very well and securely packed with thick styrofoam parts. The TV is large, elongated and looks visually simple class.
Supplied with a remote control, manual and power cord. All other cables for HDMI or other accessories have to buy yourself.
The Viera 55 inch is a tremendous boost to my previous TVs. A TCL LCD has a screen size of 109cm and my Samsung in the bedroom has only 32 inches.
The setting up of VIERA took about 30 min. Unpacking and 2 feet mount. The mounting of the feet is easy, if you followed exactly the instructions. For my taste, the feet are somewhat too narrow for a TV of this size. Furthermore, they are very attached to the outside, which means that the TV cabinet or after which provides the TV, must have at least the size of the TV. One or two sturdy feet center would be better.
After installing the product, the first impression is very positive. The design of the TV can be described most simply with slender and slim.
In black the TV looks timelessly beautiful and very appealing. The silver border also like it very much.

To test, I first connected the antenna and the power is on. The setup from the preset menu is very simple and self-explanatory. But you do not even need the manual. Setting up the Internet connection via WLAN, and the startup of the station search lasted about 25 minutes.
The setting is almost like a PC or tablet, you follow the instructions on the screen and would be if everything goes like clockwork. You get a short (very short) introduction how to use Home and Apps. But this we should take more time, because as I said the launch is really very short, and if you're not used to the menu of Panasonic, you need some time to get settled.

The VIERA how not expect anything different connections that one needs these days. Available are USB ports, an SD memory, of course, Scart and HDMI ports, headphone connector and satellite dish.
The Internet capability interested me initially most of the VIERA. The connection via Wi-Fi worked without problems, only to use the many apps you need a Panasonic ID that should be set up in advance. On the Internet (but which is troublesome) to get well that way.

Now for the really important: the picture and sound quality. So the sound of VIERA is good even without connecting to a sound system, but with sound system you have a real cinema experience.
The image quality of the device has excited me really. The colors are strong, the image is razor sharp.

What I do not like, is the remote control.
For someone like me, the Samsung is usual, the remote control is a small joke. It is already quite big and the keys are also great, but I do not have a touch panel. It is so tedious to enter anything on the remote control. Here I have to think of something to me. I watch very little TV, but more Internet as Prime Instant Video and Bluray.
Currently I enjoy movies on Bluray and that's a real cinema experience.
