The newfangled (almost futuristic) Design of outdoor penknife and high blade had my purchase excited. Because design questions but always encounter boring talk, never mind that. However, the breakthrough of the blade makes it easy to open much. The nail punches the older models were sometimes quite narrow.
The finish is clean and feels good. There are no burrs on the handle material that could interfere with the handling. The Olle pipes bracket does not interfere.
The blade is a new feature at Opinel.
The serrated edge is super sharp and is well suited for materials (seat belt), ropes and flat surfaces. It gives the knife an upgrade in terms of suitability for everyday use. Even as a saw for smaller Gehöltz it is useful.
The cutting surface is sanded clean and sharp and the blade in the usual good quality. The opening procedure runs simply and not so from spinning as in models with wooden handle provides the blade but in a closed form good grip.
The Cordel at the end of the handle could be a whole Eck longer to serve as a wrist strap and lanyard. Who wants to hang a good piece yet?
A good knife, which is quite suitable for everyday use. Man should never forget, however, that there is a folder and not Fixed. For rough work properly it would be quite unsuitable, even if the blade is somewhat greater than with the comparable older models.
