The Cintiq 13HD is lightweight and compact. When I unpacked it I was quite excited. I liked the user interface of Cintiq, which is much more pleasant than my Intuos Pro. It is less harsh and enables lightweight frame pin guide.
The pity is that the ExpressKeys can miss like the Intuos tablet the great wheel, a so flowing resizing of pen size, zoom and co is no longer so easy. Too bad.
The installation was completed smoothly.
But then came the big problem: Wacom has simply made zero idea for lefties! They advertise that it is equivalent to use for left-handed, but by no means true.
As a left-hander you have to turn your tablet because the ExpressKeys located on only one side. Because there is no touch function on the display, one is forced to use the Keys.
If one turns the Cintiq, situated on left-handed to you at once the indicator of the notebook display on the head.
Because the Cintiq display but now really is not large, is a parallel view on a monitor more than desirable to assess work better.
On request of the customer gave me only to understand that this is not possible just - I would have to Advanced Mode. But to draw drawings for each view on the other monitor, is anything but a reasonable workflow.
The attempt of compromise, not turn the tablet, so adjust it for right-handed and to dispense with the ExpressKeys, was unfortunately not successful.
The calibration of the display is not possible in the mode for left-handers. So exactly I have also worked during calibration, the mouse has never been displayed under the pen tip. I took the pen in the other hand, the calibration was true.
Actually, I'd want to give only one star because I think more than brazenly advertising the product with the supposedly equivalent utility for either hand because my Cintiq has but otherwise really liked, and the drawing is really a joy to him, I give two stars.
Why Wacom has not just set the ExpressKeys on both sides as in the large Cintiqmodellen to ensure a really proper use, is beyond me. The size of the tablets would have made it at least possible.
