Before I bought this loop, I have used my DSLR with some original as well as additional bands, strips and hand straps. Either they were not practical for me (like most original bands) or blocking the mother for the tripod plate (eg many Handstraps). Since I like to let my tripod plate in the photo, while removing the photos would but reluctantly wear the good piece without additional security from the tripod (how quickly you and the DSLR accidentally stumbles to the ground), I have gained this Strap. It is robust, easy to attach to the existing eye, enough to keep stable the camera and the strap can be easily put around the wrist. A falling camera now but times out of hand, the joint strap pulls automatically (which however depending on the weight of the camera also hurt can do!). Nevertheless, this band is fitted as standard with me and fulfilled exactly the purpose for which I've bought.
