by now catchier use of Mad Catz STRIKEM Wireless QWERTY Keyboard for Android / Win Smart Device / PC / Mac black I want to ask my review available.
Perceived quality / packaging:
The keyboard is supplied in a fairly compact package and is of good quality processed. The keyboard is about 29cm wide (seen each from the longest point out she has a unique shape) and about 11cm wide. The height is about 1.4cm.
The pressure point is not too short and not too long. Just right for my needs. The buttons can express themselves quite easily.
It is an illustrated instruction manual included. This is held in several languages (of course, among others German). Who is not technically completely untalented, is also easily to your destination.
Additional facilities include a USB charging cable and a stand for the keypad included.
As it is written with the keyboard?
The layout corresponds to the standard QWERTY (ie German layout). The keys (if we start from the letters and special characters) are quite small with about 1.1 cm. A smooth writing with the 10-finger system is only possible if one does not have the biggest finger. Otherwise typos are inevitable in my opinion.
Important for iOS users: The @ sign is indeed the Q displayed (ie ALT GR + Q), but it is still only accessible through the MAC usual combination ALT-GR + L.
Needs to get to the Home screen are pressed at an Ipad for example the left mounted underneath the Space button small button. Although the arg is small, but also because you get used to. About the multimedia keys on the top left, the music can be, for example weitergeskippt or paused. The volume control by the wheel is possible.
What I have noticed?
- The mouse control (top right) is not on IOS possible what is also clear, as there is no mouse pointer. Here the mouse is obligatory possible for users of Windows Tablets. Come to think of such an unfortunately does not exist, I can not perform the test. However, I find the corresponding scroll area very small. Whether smooth working is possible here, I can not imagine.
- Connecting via Bluetooth is very easy. It can controlled 4 Bluetooth devices are integrated. A change is seamlessly possible.
- The keyboard is illuminated. Therefore, use is not a problem in low light conditions.
- The battery will keep all 45 hours according to the manufacturer. This also extended gaming sessions should (unless you order the use of Games planning) be possible. If you want to use it to write e-mails only, will probably never force the battery to its knees. Loading the keyboard by means of the enclosed USB cable. If one does not want to make right at the laptop, you can of course use its optional adapter from the phone and charge directly at the outlet.
- The bottom of the keyboard is slightly rubberized, so writing on a slippery surface is possible.
- The holder of the keyboard reveals itself to me not quite. Who here has a tip on how these can be used wisely, this may like to pass on to me.
Conclusion:
For my needs (writing emails, listening to music on the side, etc.) I find the keyboard quite sufficient by its compact design. If you want a lot of work with it (including really sweeping letters, etc.) might reach its limits, as the compact format its toll duty by a truly liquid 10-finger system with normal-sized hands is not possible. I'm concerned, there is for the keyboard 4 stars because I the intended use for a short write mail so absolutely find in order. The latter group that really wants to write so much, should look around for a slightly larger Bluetooth keyboard. Here I see rather the risk that you might not be entirely satisfied with the time.
If you have persevered this far, I congratulate you most sincerely. They have survived my review and I hope it was informative for you.
