The additional function via NFC, however, is highly questionable:
actually the mobile phone should be kept at NFC enabled on the charging station, whereupon an own app opens, the permanent show the weather, time of day and the next calendar entry. The problem is both the NFC inherent protective function of having to confirm the execution. To this, however, to use at all, the cell phone must be kept at the base of the station so that the connection is working; ie: why not leave it, well, is not. Quite apart from the then lit the touch keys of the phone constantly, what not a good idea on the bedside table - the status light that infomiert on the loading operation does to the rest.
Fortunately, have become the most Lumias with WP 8 now on "Glance" or "view", which works much better than the above-described so-called "desktop-app" (which can be downloaded by the way as a third offering Rapp also so from the store) why the big criticism is relativized something - especially since the option exists to let "Glance" Always display during charging.
But then the question arises, why spend so much when the station is actually no more than a stand with charging cable? Because lying in bed and easy to make the mobile station without fiddling with cables, but is more comfortable than you might think. Expensive it is yet.
One last gripe at the end: The power supply itself is pretty clunky for a cell phone charger; it would have determined that three or four times the size of conventional charging cable.
