I use the flash on my Sony Alpha 7. No adapter required, attach, flash ...
After initially a little hard did me with the manual flash it works now fine. I use at my a7 manual mode, place of Live View, so I can see the subject through the electronic viewfinder.
ISO 100, shutter speed up to 1: 200 (1: 250 is already casting shadows) and aperture of your choice. then a sighting shot, correct flash and it sits.
The settings on the flash going really fast out of hand, the part with its high guide number even in bright outdoor use as fill super.
