I have the EOS 7D now approximately 1 year in use. What initially convinced me is the body size and the associated balance, especially suitable for men with large hands. Except for the EOS 7D and EOS 5D no housing provides this stability in 1 hand to be held. Even Nikon can not keep up with this perfect ergonomics. Admittedly, the housing of the 7D is very difficult, but this is due to the execution of a magnesium alloy with splash-proof control knobs and covers. On top of an incredibly brisk and precise autofocus, which can be individually adjusted and ensures excellent image results. Of course, there are currently playing improved APS-C cameras that allow significantly higher ISO values and provide very good results. But for a housing current price of about 800.- you can look far for an APS-C camera of this quality. After all, cost the successor 7D Mark II far more than twice.
