The main reason why I have decided for the i-Joy Café Ultimate, was the use of coffee. But the pad fits embeddable into the filter holder, as compared with my Senseo, no, they have to be purely press. This meant that in the first experiments no water came by the pad and shouted a rattle of machine. Eventually it worked then at last with the coffee. But I'm not at all taste delighted with the results.
Alternatively, I still tried regular coffee. Thus, the i-Joy works beautifully and visually machine conjures up handsome cappuccino and latte macchiato. The rest is a matter of taste and tastes are fortunately quite different.
What I miss in the machine is something like a shutdown. Instead, you have the on-off switch quite impractical mounted on the right side at the rear under.
Me personally i-Joy has not convinced. Especially when I see that the same model with 5 bar less, ie 15 bar, is available at Amazon for a mere 130 euros. The difference of 5 bar is because is not so crucial for a better taste.
And here again my summary:
+ Design
+ Is delivered well packed
+ Detailed operating instructions
+ Conjures visually delicious looking cappuccino and latte macchiato
- Many cheap-looking chromed plastic parts
- No automatic shutdown
- Less suitable for coffee
