What I absolutely can not understand, here some customer reviews about which I would like to make me funny are to write my review at the same time:

1) Yes, the device is a little noisy.
-> The device includes a CD / DVD and rotates by the rotation creates a little noise. This one should be able to actually think, right? But that's all tolerable and in no way it is so unbearably loud. I do not know, but what some people for dwellings have the statement that the device is held only by the USB cable on the table, is absolute nonsense. For me the device despite vibration (which is for the "noise" in charge) does not move one millimeter. And one way, does not need any earplugs or someone who measures the decibel level. That's really all in the frame.

2) No, the subject does not come out "of its own accord".
-> Many are perhaps a little spoiled by the PC drives that extend completely and must be tapped, so that they directly pure return. Laptop drives always come out just a little and have to be "pulled" the rest of the way and are later retracted again by hand. This really is not a reason for a negative review. This is normal and does not harm the device.

3) No, the device "flips" not forward.
-> Many live apparently in apartments / houses that are totally inclined. The device is of course installed a little shaky but it does not tilt forward and you have to not hold on with both hands. Hello? The device is made of plastic and not stainless steel. So if you want that you can take anywhere and it is easy to transport, you should be aware that it then is just really plastic.

4) The button is still visible.
-> The best review: The button (black on black) is not easy to find. Fortunately, he is with me white on white and thus much easier to find. Whoever finds the sarcasm, may keep it. The button has of course the same color as the bottom of the burner .. anything else would be nonsense design technically. But you can find him, because he stands right in the eye. Oh yes and long fingernails there is no need to open also. You press the button and tralala everything is in butter.

5) The grip could be better.
-> It is really so: If you burn ne CD / DVD faster than 24x, then lifts off the thing. I was able to catch it again only with great difficulty and almost it would have made the departure .. I was just able to quickly close all windows.

Conclusion:

The device is well worth the money. For 30, - EUR should not expect a high-end device with powerful speed. Ne burn audio CD has lasted 10 minutes (4x recording speed). That's OK. Remember always: The data is sent from the computer via USB wired to the unit: In other words, the device can not just get faster than the line it will bear. For an accessory that is absolutely OK and I'm absolutely happy with it. An installation was not necessary. Win8 has recognized it immediately and it is also the latest Nero software here.
There is a star deduction, because I had to wait 5 days at the delivery.
