As usual, quickly delivered from Amazon - and "Aha, beautiful packaging". First 'wow' factor.
The anticipation rose, thus equal to my Walkman off and in with the music.
Well, second wow factor. The first disappointment was that the music in the Walkman ever is quite quiet - the Walkman's inherently quite quiet, as the headphones should at least make it a bit what. But the Walkman are on stage at 30.
So once again my old off and lo and behold, impeccable quality, then the original from the Walkman (which I never actually used) and fits impeccable volume and the overall sound quality here as well and is balanced.
=> Just not with the XBA-H1.
So stay tuned to the iPhone 5 and the iPad 2, and here the same picture emerges. The original Walkman headphones on and my MDR-XB41EX beat the new pretty hands down.
This applies both to the volume as well as for the sound quality.
Pro:
+ Processing seems to be very good
+ He has a nice design (for my taste halt)
+ Packaging visually appealing (which never brings what, except a certain expectation)
+ Cables are red / black (ie two colors) - I think that modern and nice to look at
+ The plug looks classy (just not a "standard" connector)
+ There are a total of 8 rubber caps in different sizes while (2 with the same size, one with and one without foam ring)
+ Listeners are relatively easy for the bulky casing, giving the comfort comes in principle to Good
+ Hurra, the rubber caps from the new fit on my old handset it. Whoopee.
Contraindications:
- The seat is suboptimal - thus not necessarily suitable for jogging
(The problem has my age but also because I suppose what Sennheiser by 30 Euro, that sit better)
the problem have XB41EX as well, but not quite as bad (although my old metal cases have)
- Despite a relatively large orchestra under average bass
- The quality of classical soundtracks is really unbalanced - the sound picture is not very clear
(Who Two Steps From Hell udgl. Like will not come here at his own expense, no particular bass present, the highs personally suit me not)
- The quality of Pop is unacceptable for a device of 90 Euro class, here the highs are very getting used to
- They are quieter than my previous (and above all that I currently have lying around)
I've quite cheap Sony EX50 bought at 13 euros, which are about as loud, but with less bass (but sit better)
- For the performance offered are much too expensive
- Something I unfortunately have to hold against all Sony phones with "thicker" cable is that there is no relief because
(Like Sennheiser with a longer piece of cable that you can wear in the neck) => at Sony are the same length cables when they are worn under a narrow jacket, unfortunately pulled down, which is unpleasant to the ears - every step, a Zwick. Sometimes very uncomfortable
- For 90 euros you could ever attach a remote control clip to the cable in order to control at least the Apple products can (with the Walkman's that will probably not come back Even my MD Walkman had an insanely great remote control.)
Hypothesis: It is possible that Sony currently on the "Noise Down" is trip. The new Walkman's have got quieter and perhaps set the intentionally with listeners continue. What really bullshit would, because here the music pleasure suffers genuine.
My conclusion: I can the listener not recommended because it can not keep up even begin with a 6 year old headset manufacturer (actually unfortunately I was of the opinion that this should be a natural evolution - is this to me but more like a retrogression ago).
At first I thought even that perhaps only the Walkman not fit properly (the Pretty dirty spits signals, if not sounds bad), but unfortunately that's when Apple compete the current generation no better.
Top Design, sound quality flop. Therefore only three stars.
I will therefore equip the old XB41EX with the new and fresh rubber caps of the XBA-H1 and the use meanwhile, until it breaks down.
So everyone should consider if he wants to. Unfortunately you can not buy the old XB41, shame really. The would have to recommend; - ((
