This brings me to the next section ... The camera:
The phone shoots images with up to 8 megapixels (3264x2448), but only if you the picture to 4 in the options menu: 3 surrounded. Because the display is not 4 but 3 is one big black bars then left and right. The default aspect ratio is 16: 9, which also the entire display will be filled. However, these pictures are in a resolution of 3264x1840, which are only 6 megapixels by Adam Riese. However, standing in the camera menu also in the 16: 9 option 8 megapixels, as HTC is lying unfortunately something. Overall, the camera is satisfactory, the image quality is enough for snapshots. On the phone screen, they look very beautiful and intense color, if you but looks at the PC, it is noticeable that the image is quickly mushy when you zoom. I have the same motif time with the One X and with my Sony digital camera (priced about lower middle class, runtergeschraubt the same resolution) snapped and the computer falls compared out to be rather good at that the One X is almost unnaturally intense color plus a little too dark and (as already mentioned) mushy in the details. That HTC advertises on TV with a photographer who supposedly makes his entire skydiving fashion shoot with this phone, I'll be a bit disappointed by the camera. Also, the video mode is not the hammer, here falls especially the sluggish autofocus and some "sub-optimal" (the word "bad" would be a bit too hard) on clay. I will now explain the camera on garkeinen case for scrap, but for marketing promise and the price it would have something may be more. What I find also a pity that there is no camera button on the housing. That's almost all mobile phones so, but the fact that the release button is on the screen close to other buttons, self-portraits are virtually impossible because you always something else suppressed, if you can not up look at the screen (Love HTC: If her your cell phone does not spoil with an additional button "want, then it does make at least so that the camera eg via volume key triggers. The Namely occupied when photographing not even through the digital zoom! That would snap me and also determines many others the !. make in everyday life much more pleasant) Speaking Self-Portrait: The front camera is to use most of Skype, but not for photos Finally, I would but then something positive to the camera say. There are 15 visual effects such as distortion, depth of field, or Aqua . The hand me completely and I can access the entire Apps that make otherwise, without.
The display:
When Diyplay I've really found nothing to complain about. The HD-ready resolution is sharp crack, the colors are very intense, and the brightness is very good. Watch time passing an HD video on YouTube is really fun!
The sound and music player:
Who ever had a HTC device, will quickly find your way around the default music player. It is plain, but has everything I expect from an MP3 player. In addition to some standard equalizers, there is also the Beats Audio Equalizer, the HTC is indeed very proud: With it, all the songs are very bassy. This is a matter of taste (I like it;)), and gets along well with cheaper headphones advantage. Really hard it is but only if you anstöpselt the phone to speakers with decent subwoofer. Then wummern already heavy bass songs violently.
In addition, players are a few additional programs integrated: SoundHound (like Shazam, but I find SoundHound actually faster and better), Tuna (Internet Radio) and 7digital (For Sale by music). The speaker of the mobile phone is ... well ... a mobile phone speaker. To audition times someone a song or watching a YouTube video, it is sufficient. But nothing more. With headphones, the sound is very good, I use the One X as an MP3 player in everyday life.
The Software:
Currently is on the device Android 4.0.3 with HTC Sense 4.0, from my old phone I was Android 2.2 and (probably) HTC Sense 2.x usual and I have to say: It has been quite a lot done! There is much to discover, throughout any gimmicks (optical and for the service), great detail solutions, and setting options. And it runs fast and smooth, but anything else would be too sad for HTC in performance and price. As I come from an "old" Android device, the more the four buttons below the screen has (Home, Menu, Back, Search) me the menu button is missing a lot. The menu (no matter where you are) is now only a virtual button at the top right of the screen. I do not know why the key for missing on all new Androids, but it annoys me but very. Especially since in some applications, such as Facebook or almost all games, the menu button then on the screen but not right above but suddenly down. Almost every day I am angry a bit, if I find somewhere the menu immediately, because there is not even back to where you would expect it.
The Performance:
With such a power giant is expected that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. And so it is. Both the relatively uncomplicated standard applications as well as high-end games. In graphically very complex games, such as those that have been made specifically for Nvidia Tegra3 processor, the One X will quickly become very hot. After 20 minutes, "Dark Meadow" (probably graphically Best Game at the time and it's running tip-top), the phone has been a temperature of (according to temperature-app) almost 60 degrees! Felt itself makes around primarily to the camera, where probably sit the four cores. Because I hear he prefers to play, both because it is uncomfortable in his hand, and for fear of damage to the unit. But to hold remains that the One X well with all fine comes to law what is currently available in the Google Play Store and the temperature will feel comfortable like at all quad cores. I'm looking forward to the first smartphone with built-in fans for cooling (Attention: irony!).
The battery:
The first two days I thought: "What How is one to be used as a nice neat phone when the battery makes limp after a few hours of intensive use easily ??? Totales no-go!". After no more than the first five charging the battery then has unfolded in full power and to get in (for my needs) normal use throughout the day. That is to say, occasionally surfing via WiFi, listen to music, play around a little and a little phone. However, a smart tag is usually less than 24 hours, but takes me about 8 clock in the morning to 21, maybe 23 time clock in the evening (when I say "Night anke" not take occasional short). Then it should go to the power outlet again. Good enough for me perfectly and so far the battery is also never expected the move, always only when a saving box was nearby. For computationally intensive use (eg the above-mentioned game) you can but watch the battery level in almost ten percent increments during shrinking. A rough estimate of the battery should then be empty after all of all the latest 3 hours, but as none can provide due to heat)
The telephony:
Of course, one should appeal to the telephony in a telephone also times: There's nothing to it from set. I understand the other person well and it understands me. Even choosing or the contact search is slightly out of hand. More because there's nothing more to say ...
Conclusion:
After repeated reading, I noticed that I have just rumgemeckert quite a bit. For a device in this price range, the current flagship of the HTC, if not is also of Android, but a fall up everything on what is not optimal and everything is good, is for granted. But pretty much all my negative points are a bleating at a high level. For a smartphone the One X is fully equipped, powerful and future-proof for the time being! Which is also very much prettier than the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S3)
I have to mention that I have received the device for testing of trnd.com, it did so not even bought. Whether one is worth the phone more than 550 euros, everyone must know himself. With a smaller budget you can indeed times the One S View or hope for a pricing challenge by HTC if Samsung's new flagship will appear soon.
All in all I give the One X 3.8 star. However, because the Amazon review system I round on four stars on;) Would it be 100 euros cheaper (and one day it will be without doubt the case), I would definitely give 5 stars and an absolute buy recommendation!
