Since there was nothing new available from Amazon then, I had to (unfortunately) where order otherwise.
I did so reluctantly because other traders not come close to the Amazon service.
Nevertheless, I would like to share my experience with the computer here.
Schonmal advance: An installation of Windows 7 (64bit) is absolutely no problem !!!
(A link to the HP Support Forum I write at the end of this report)
For the price, the notebook is the absolute best equipment in the 17 "class in my opinion.
The optics, processing and haptics is very good and would also be in a higher price range acceptable.
At first I was worried about the AMD APU but the performance is sufficient for office use,
Internet and Multimedia from absolute. To play the device (probably) is not really suitable.
That this notebook "relatively" high-quality forms, almost perhaps is also because that HP the same housing
used for more than twice as expensive models. Have seen in an electronics market a model of almost 900.
The highlight of the notebook is the matt Full HD display. I had in the price range up to 500 EUR
not a single other 17 "device with full HD display (and also non-reflective) found.
The Windows 7 installation worked on the first try and all the drivers ran easily installed.
You have to delete the Free-DOS partitions and create one (or more) new partitions first.
This can be easily perform when starting the Windows installation.
One tip: Be sure to use the port on the right side The driver installation with a USB stick.
The 2x ports on the left are the USB3.0 ports and the work until after the
AMD Chipset driver has been installed.
A real minus point is that the laptop has no service door. That is, a memory expansion or
Installation of a SSD is only possible if you open the device completely. This is for lay people rather unworkable and leads
In addition to the warranty loss !!! That really bothers me, because I would like to extend to 8GB RAM and
possibly even an SSD (which are always cheaper) installed. Within the warranty time I will not do this.
Also no Gigabit LAN is installed. Not understandable, as the extra cost probably lies in the cent range.
(But does not bother me, since I use only Wi-Fi)
The keyboard I consider, after a short adjustment period, as relatively well.
She has a rather short "Hub" and are almost not to when printing. That was much worse on my last notebook.
The touchpad does not like me personally, because there is no deposed button. There is a large area.
But this is a matter of taste - I use anyway always a USB wireless mouse.
In my opinion, this notebook is worth more money than what it cost. I'm very satisfied.
