I was looking for a cheap (200 EUR I was already too much) tablet that I use mainly at home / office (WLAN) and, if necessary, go (UMTS stick) to quickly my various activities (mail to be able to perform online banking, purchasing / sales, news, ...) on the Internet without having to boot up a PC or notebook. Furthermore, I have no comparison with other systems (iPad, Samsung, ...).
After a week of use, I can but confirm some:
- The Odys Next has 1GB of RAM already "on board" !!! The label on the packaging is confusing or misleading to interpret. The rapidly responding Odys service team has informed me about it.
- The battery power is day by day better> is also in the instructions that regular Unload / load affects performance enhancing. 100% I had, I do not even think; wenns are only 95%, it does not bother me. For charging the device should be better herunterfahren.Derzeit I come with intensive use in about 3 hours of use. But in standby it consumes hardly any energy.
- The Odys Next takes approximately 30 seconds for boot
- Yes, the unit will become hot due to intensive use; so what? Who cares? Burning does not like that?
- Wi-Fi works well and can be set up easily; The same applies to the use / setting up a UMTS Sticks
- A smaller system crash I could quickly troubleshoot by rebooting; a major crash (Touchscreen unresponsive), I could only resolve by "paper clip into the reset button", without any data would be lost.
- A refilled, 32GB SDHC Micro Card also puts already inside and also the connection to a PC / notebook works fine
- The screen resolution is enough for me completely out (for movies). Frontal to look at the screen is recommended; Do not tip!
- The screen brightness could be better especially outdoors in sunshine
- Also the built-in speaker is not looking "exactly brilliant", but the film or music you close halt either headphones or speakers
- The touch screen responds well and smoothly
- Already have downloaded tons of Android Apps; most work perfectly; some make Problems; others not at work; but that is in my view not on Next Odys, but the app itself or on Android.
Résumé:
Who, like me, to little money looking for a tablet that he uses mainly via WiFi at home / office and on the road ready to infect an existing UMTS stick, which I would highly recommend this unit. I keep it anyway!
Because the screen brightness for improvement, the "Kippverdunklungseffekt", the relatively quiet speakers and the already occurred crashes (but could also be the fault of Android!) I forgive but ultimately only 4 stars.
