Forza Horizon 2 - XBOX ONE

Forza Horizon 2 was the first game that I for my new console, the XBOX ONE've bought. This was due to the outstanding reviews of buyers and games tests of large institutions alike. One advance: This is really what I expected of next-gen. I was not disappointed!

Simulation or rage?

Neither - and yet both! The settings in terms of realism, driving aids, damage model and Co are various selectable and can be perfectly adapted to your needs and especially skills. The ingame prize money rises and falls with the level of difficulty, so will all also fair. Who here but a meticulously converted simulation a la Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo is wrong. No Rundstrecken with curbs in red and white, no bleachers behind barricades, no recurring tests on the hunt for the last "hundredth" of the lap time. But more unbridled open-world driving pleasure across great style! The plot is simple: go to the party-festival and race. Sounds licked, but is great, because the various disciplines of knowledge to please with variety. Race car, sports car, Hyper Cars, standards, rally, off-road, for everyone is something there, and it is more than enough. For nearly 170 championships with an average of 4 races are waiting for the driver. Here I like especially the "Go there" to the next event, which makes a lot of fun in the large play area around the Italian-French border, especially when changing from sun to rain or day to night, or both! Here are breakneck maneuvers are not uncommon, where the game creates an incredible sense of speed and error free driving rewarded with bonuses. Laudable!

Technology, optics, sound

Technically the title depends slightly behind 60fps brother Forza5, but each of the game is first turned on to see this as a complain at a high level, I'm sure. The game looks great and also the implementation of the cars and especially the details and effects of the large open-world game world totally convincing.
For sound falls on mainly selecting the soundtrack because the Horizon Festival radio stations by Genre for a wide range accessible (although only 1 rock stations should be provided). As with GTA, we can change at will, top!

Long-term motivation?

Short: Yes! There are discovering a pile. Collectable plates, which are distributed throughout bored like the odd indeed, but no one will be able to before the "driving pleasure" lists halt. The diverse challenges lure with madcap driving events, partly really tricky, partly light fare. Those who do not like to heated with 390kmh on the Italian coast, trying to get the speed camera box to smoking? With the sheer wealth of championships and additional content, the game is simply a "crusher" plain sailing!
Currently I play the free Fast & Furious DLC, which also makes a lot of fun. Just perfect what you get here.

Conclusion:
If I were a Games Editor I would assign the following points:
Graphics 9/10 - as no less detail than 60fps and FM5 (2013)
Sound 9/10 - mixing top, super soundtrack, unfortunately a little "electric-heavy"
Gameplay 10/10 - feel, physics, customization options, bonuses and content are simply superb. Unrivaled!
Scope 10/10 - 170 championships, 45 fun events, 10 "hidden" to find cars, 5 bonus events, hundreds of cars, DLCs, OpenWorld
These must be said that the "story" is nicely done, although we here speak of a racing game, not of an adventure ;-)

For whom is the game?
Definitely for those who like to play racing games of all kinds.

There also negative?
Maximum that a split screen mode for missing race against mates on the couch.
Otherwise I would have liked even more in 2-3 Skirt Title Horizon radio, but who are already in it, well, who are also great!

What can I say, is just everything was super! :-)
