The difference is, as just the price, enormous.
I had bought for a 18-55mm lens hood from Asia via Buy It Now auction website. Including cost under five euros. Shipping from East Asia. The lens hood fits and everything seems ok.

Well I bought for the original Aperture 55-250mm Canon for about 14, -.
The difference is enormous. It fits naturally perfect. While the cheap products are behind the bezel slots, minimal light can penetrate through, everything here is the original way it should be.

The pricing policy of Canon is questionable. If you acquire an original lens, as this article was supposed to be cent actually present and not have to be purchased separately. This has been better achieved third-party. Especially high-quality lenses cost is known, a few hundred euros, it would make the fish certainly not fat.

And a recommended retail price of 29, - to be set for a simple plastic part is just a joke, I think.

Overall, the lens hood fits perfectly and served its purpose very well. For this reason, earned five stars for the product itself.
