"Pendemic" assumes the role of a little intro, slow and cumbersome comes along and passes a quiet approach the album. The fat bass and the rather dark background sounds show Fat Joe, who seems to have found his old motivation again. This can be felt even in "Damn", which sounds very melodic, but also powerful and full of energy thanks to the drums, horns, flutes and again tighten beats. What Joe provides here is also really great because so snappy one heard him in recent years, not always. Must of course be a bit also boasted and who would be better suited to a guest as Lil Wayne? DJ Khaled's production is unusually dark, mystical and has a certain charm Mafia. Both can be more relaxed approach it with the rhymes, which with Weezy a little bit like better than the Don Cartagena.
My current favorite producers The Runners made from "No Drama (Clap & Revolve)" a real banger. Here Fat Joe raps over deep beats that are trimmed of female choirs, organ and drum beats to an impressive overall image that a full blast cold back can run down. More relaxed is what "Breathe And Stop" to the point that sounds really summery and chilled due to reggae riddims and recurring trumpets. Since it is fitting that with The Game is a rapper from sunny California with this and helping to create another great track. "She's My Mama" (feat. H-Mob) is not about Joey's mom, but his love affair. Again presses the bassline pretty heavy, but through cheerful sounds and melodies come again this summer feeling from Florida to.
The hit of this album is undoubtedly the club anthem "Make It Rain", produced by none other than Scott Storch. Meet danceable, catchy and orhwurmtauglich beats on this madness synthesizer piece which no longer get out of your head, especially when Lil Wayne attaches to the chorus there is no stopping me. Cool and relaxed, it goes to the very back marked by instruments "Jealousy" on. Diddy's employees LV used mainly a quiet electric guitar which brings some Seventies-style, even the bright female vocals that fits is limited to the word Jealousy as well to be exactly like the wind and of course the big Joe. "Think About It" belongs back in the category hard and seriously, suitable to the production of Scott Storch, who conjures up something completely different this time out of the hat, as even before.
The only disappointment for me the album can be found with "Hard Not To Kill". The instrumental is easy to listen out of round and uncomfortable, and the flow of Fat Joe is here anything but elegant, unfortunately there can also outlaw gunslinger atmosphere save anything. Well, so what? Since it would be all the more "Bendicion Mami," a song in which Joey Crack finally back brings the Latino in itself to light and thanks a peaceful, yet emotional, expressive and passionate guitar / trumpet production of his mother. That sounds despite Street Runner Although more to Latin America than to Miami, but also really good. But then ensures precisely Terror Squad member DJ Khaled. Instead of party is set for his "Story To Tell" rather serious tones, thanks to the bells and of course the synthesizer melodies but you realize immediately that it comes from the sunny state of Florida. Fat Joe here delivers one of his best performances and ended "Me, Myself & I" thus great.
After only average predecessor Fat Joe has done everything right here and put on the right producers and guests, he himself seems to have thereby rediscovered his old class. It was probably the right decision to settle for the old days in the sunny south and to make with the likes of Rick Ross, or Cash Money Clique common cause, rather than music in pop style chart battle with rival 50 Cent duration. If you like the current Florida sound should definitely listen once and get the best also still the same to follow-up "The Elephant In The Room", which further continues this style.
