As an upgrade to something more performance and more features and especially more ease of use, the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation came into question.
The Galaxy S2 I was able to test extensively and was very impressed with the much higher speed and new features compared to the S1. Many small additional gadgets make already at first sight a difference. In general, the S2 has however maintained the operation and the concept and further developed in a few areas.
For the HTC Sensation took me only once the following points, which I have read in tests and reviews of the device:
- Ergonomic, rounded shape of the device
- High-quality material of the outer shell and thus very handschmeichelnd
- In relation to the form of the other smartphones refreshingly different design (criticism of Chip and Co. because I can not understand completely because rather all other smartphones look like rectangular brothers
What made me a little suspicious:
- Less RAM than the S2
- Less internal memory
- Unique benchmark test results between S2 and Sensation opted for the Galaxy
- Unkenrufe in reviews and tests against the allegedly poor contrast of the display HTC
- The Galaxy S2 is going to have now even cheaper on Amazon than the Sensation
- Alleged poor battery life because of the "small" 1520 mAh battery.
And here are my impressions after I now get the HTC Sensation and tried intensively:
1) Instant is a current firmware update to Android 2.3.4 available, which immediately OTA (Over The Air) will be kept up without difficulty.
2) The black of the display is a true black and the picture quality is awesome.
3) The operating speed is very fast, even surfing is naturally faster than S1.
4) The battery lasts as long as the households with the appropriate models of Samsung. Besides, I've already ordered a precautionary measure me a 1800 mAh battery to finally rush in this point of the competition it!
5) Social Networks are even more at the center than at Samsung currently. Of course, only if you want and the great widgets puts on the desktop and of course only if a data flat rate, otherwise it will be expensive!
6) The benchmark tests do not interest me, because the user interfaces and the concept of the device is to my mind absolutely different and thus not directly comparable.
The concept and the surface of the Galaxy S2 is focused on speed and clarity and meets these criteria very well. The sensation, whose concept and interface Sense 3.0 are geared towards ease of use, optical and acoustic effects, complacency and work easier. The speed here is quite good but is in second place. And if I had to venture this prediction, I would say a lot of prospective customers would decide at the expense of the great service and nice animated menus, as well as practical device profiles of speed.
The Sensation offers far more opportunities to personalize almost everything in the menu, surfaces and Tonprofilen than a Samsung Galaxy S2. These include timed profiles that include not only the sounds of the instrument, but also the background, lock screen and the switching of the communication paths. Unbelievable what everything here has been thought.
The initial setup of a sensation takes a relatively long when fully use the great possibilities to program all the details again. For the operation by the system profile is set later quickly as easy and influenced as I said all device settings to a profile. Just awesome.
The conclusion is, I have ventured into the experiment HTC Sensation only because of tests and reviews and did not regret it. Even if the sensation on the paper less power than the Galaxy, has the concept of Sensation confirmed my purchase and leave me the multiple test winner Galaxy S2 forget about soon.
My tip: buy!
