Nose:
sweet and strong, slightly savory (salty? smells like salt?), oops, a little smoke is also there and sea breeze
Mouth:
sweet and sour fruit, roasted almonds, vanilla, malt beer, strong
Neck:
loooong and sweet, it is hardly smoke back, but rather because of smoke in the finish on the palate, little sharpness alcohol
Conclusion:
For a supposedly not smoky Islay whiskey but a little peat fire in it. Overall, compact and full-bodied.
For a 12y quite fruitful and long lasting. A great whiskey.
Full marks and a tasting recommendation.
