I have the device for 3 weeks and about 100 hours of play with Battlefield 3 beta, BFBC2, Dead Iceland, Quakelive.com, Left 4 Dead 2, Hard Reset, CS: S and spent Crysis 1 + 2.
The unit is completely suitable for fast paced FPS (first person shooter)! Although the device according to testers on the Internet a "input lag" (is not response time!) Is said of 19ms (1.3 fps), I could find no negative impact at all. I guess I am one of those who do not perceive such a thing. However, I've been playing for 10 years
fast shooter and say from me to be hardcore gamers or a very capable player. I am in multiplayer always high up in the score, and was on the
Purchase of TFT concerned that this remains so. I had with this monitor situation in which I have met directly and perfectly from the fraction of a second-speed rotation - as I said, for me not playing limiting delay noticeably!
Possibly might notice something a professional players here. I, as a pseudo-Pro or enthusiastic FPS nerd, I'm on my part super cope with the unit!
The first 3 days I had to get used heavily on the device, as I previously used a "small" NEC MultiSync 20WGX² (Input Lag 10ms) for 5 years.
My initial concern that device was too big with a diameter of 69 cm, fell through because you very quickly accustomed to have a larger viewing area available.
It sparked after the familiarization still very much enthusiasm, the monitor while working with PC games on "high-end graphics" in 1080p watch. Bold colors, sharpness and contrast are great and you can experience its famous games from scratch, if you like me will change from a 1680x1050 resolution (20 inch) to 1080p with 27 inches.
BUT, the monitor must only be adjusted accordingly through the driver. In the default condition me the color, contrast and brightness are not pledged.
However, my orange values appear even after hours of set, yellow and still vigorous. It's the only negative thing I can say about the monitor, ...
that sometimes skin tones or even color with yellow-share are very strong. However, it is also a matter of habit, but who wants to use the device for image processing or principally for the DVD / BD movies-look, so is not the best possible advice. Of course, the monitor has different usage modes (Standard / Theater / Game / night / sRGB), which can be customized.
And about the additional driver settings on the computer, everyone should find the right presentation for after a little tweaking.
I have copied settings from a forum by another user and easily changed for me:
In Driver:
RED: 37% brightness / gamma 0,70
GREEN: brightness 42% / Gamma 0.73
BLUE: 50% brightness / gamma 0.72
Contrast and digital color matching throughout 50%
At the monitor: Game Mode brightness and contrast 100%, Stättigung 55%, 50% of field
VERY IMPORTANT: Trace free (free from striations) use the value 40. Could thus see no ghosting.
The monitor is (relatively) thin, beautiful (piano lacquer) to see reflected not nearly, makes no operating noise, low power consumption and are virtually no heat.
I highly recommend this monitor to each user who wants to buy for this price the best product and mostly so PC games gambles, working or just surfing.
For picture-in picture function: PC is connected to the device via DVI. The addition via HDMI connected MAC BOOK could not be used with the Picture-in-picture function, a real pity!
4 stars because the PIP function does not work properly and the colors from the factory and the buttons to operate the housing are not intoxicating.
Otherwise absolutely top!
