Cable infected and ran to the smartphone. Soundcheck. Clear highs / Ratings / vocals, just like I like it .. Bass Pressure is also plentiful. Yes, so makes music fun. But I'm curious to compare how it is 990 beats against my more than 25 years old beyerdynamic DT. Quite different sound characteristics. The DT 990 acts more balanced, warmer, more harmonious, but this is not as clear in the heights and compared to Aureol lacks some bass. So a pure taste decision. I like music pass and will keep the Aureol.
The already mentioned countless times here minus point really is not to be underestimated - to the outside is good thing out, bystanders will thank in peaceful surroundings, especially when you hear something loud like me. However, it must peddle you that there are also "softer" open headphones. When DT 990 not so much far reaches outwards like the Aureol.
What initially somewhat irritated me: Grind the cable on my collar, I hear that right in the headphones - but only if no music is playing.
Processing Technically this is no high-end, but perfectly adequate in this price range.
What would be nice if you could fold the ear cups such as the JBL J88 (a). So it's a bit fiddly to stow the headset in the supplied bag.
Total outweigh the benefits for me, I feel the sound actually as Devil typical with clear highs and enough pressure, so that listening to music so that the real fun starts. Keep the fun for its surroundings I could deduct a point, but as this is a normal occurrence in open headphones, I do not. I have certainly not seen any better value for money and will separate me from JBL J88a again, the clearly draws the short straw in comparison to Aureol.
EDIT:
I have subsequently but a point deducted because of the headphone cable clearly audible noise. I wanted to use the headphone to the PC as a headset (with external mic), but the cable ratchets on my clothes with every head movement makes it completely impossible.
