The sandwiches at kétcheupe (Paperback)

Customer Review

Reissue of a title released in 2000 sold at Nathan, at kétcheupe The bread is a funny and moving novel. What a lovely spontaneous and confusing to play down violence! Nicolas is 5 years old, he is in Kindergarten, a little turbulent, it is often taken by teachers. He invented two imaginary friends to whom he confides his troubles: Small Toiseau and Fourmisseau. And so the reader understands the daily Nicolas when he crosses the threshold of his home: father beats, a little violent brothers also overdue mother and abused too, oh no life is not gay at home! Marie-Sabine Roger managed the feat to make a funny story about the freshness of the little boy, especially when he tells his story of Little Driven:
"When we returned to class, the teacher tells a story.
It is a small has a lot bigger brothers. Ben, I know what it must give the house: his brothers, they must spend their time to flank him slaps and yelling at him, saying:
"Hey, dwarf, can not you see that you discomfort? Move over the middle! "
That's why we call it the little pushed. [...]
He runs gather white pebbles down his home. He lives in a chômière. It is a building where there is that in the unemployed. [...] "
And when adults are trying to help her, he goes to the espliquologue, and when the latter asks him to draw his family, he forgets to draw him. When the shrink (forgiveness, espliquologue, which does not explain much moreover!) Insists he is unable to be placed in his drawing of the family, he eventually put on the back of the sheet, because it is not clear where he could get.

A novel that touches by the facts alleged in it under the guise of humor. Tenderness and severity, bursts of laughter and sadness. The language and the freshness of childhood are very well transcribed. Too bad maybe the end leaves little hope. A reading to accompany perhaps with younger, to see what they actually grasp?
