Trees and branches disappear in the forest ... so the animals are investigating. There's quite rich vocabulary, eg indices eyewitness judge complainant. The narrative thread is easy to follow and fun, with the key to a paper airplane competition. The illustrations are nice and well done (you can see the culprit before it is uncovered). My 4 year old daughter loves.
