- GSM module poorly shielded and not programmable, this in detail:
I have a SIM of O2 with no monthly fees (for CO2 DSL connection for free), which is also free can call the O2 network but SMS costs extra, so I prefer to configure everything via phone call in both directions instead of SMS. The signal quality is fluctuating between 10-13, no disconnections. However, the GSM module is not shielded from the direct opposite speaker, so that there was extreme feedback with me. The voice of alarm was inaudible, just loud croaking and overlays; it does not help that the antenna of the GSM module is attached to the top edge of housing. The service on the phone could not help it should be due to the poor signal strength you said there. In short my own solution: It is enough to fold normal household aluminum foil once and insert coverage between speakers and GSM module, only the antenna has to be kept spared so I could reduce the noise permanently to a reasonable level for the same signal strength, even without grounding the unit or individual components. The voice is now very well understood both alarm calls, as well as telephone Fersteuerung. Crosscheck: Taking the film out again, is again only croak hear ..... problem can be easily and cheaply solve so!
Unfortunately, I see no number when the system calls with me, even though the SIM was voher properly configured to transmit the number and require no PIN (the latter is anyway prerequisite for this device). In the menu you can unfortunately not make any "Phone Settings" as the mobile phone, the system therefore never communicated with my O2 SIM phone number, according to the service I am to be an isolated case and it should be on the SIM, which would be possible if the network standard at O2 CLIR would; I naturally then tested it several more times with different cell phones / smart phones and the SIM number to send each extracted set, but it was nothing at all; a small phone settings menu would be as helpful, otherwise it would not be bad to modernize the firmware even at that price, and some such as to allow more settings for audio, etc..

I bought the version for indoor with pet shelters (although we have no animals). When programming, it would be desirable to be able to program your own input / output delay from the standard settings for each radio zone, for example if the access door is used in a different floor, it takes well double the time for disarming, as on the floor, on the the alarm center is located. Just as I wonder why I have given all sensors names when these appear only in the alarm SMS. It would be much better if, in addition, instead of the radio zone numbers or the registered name would appear in the menu, then you know also always the same, which sensor is currently being processed. Makes sense if you have a large number of sensors and do not always want to work with handouts.
The security of remote controls is -As other have-already noticed questionable: Without any password of a button is enough to disarm, so you should treat the remote like a debit card, on which the PIN is gechrieben! The radio signal can also readily intercept and copy, I have tested this with the universal garage also available here at Amazon for multi frequencies (433 and 868 MHz). The Entschärfensignal is conveniently now on my garage door opener to, it is not even necessary, this be notified to the alarm center, as it 1: 1, the signal of the already learned remote copies and this of course 1: 1 to simulate! Can be regarded as a blessing or a curse it now, anyway, should consider what risks lie in the use of these remotes with everyone here!
The alarm monitoring works, moreover, very exemplary so far, no false alarms and sensors react always as good as expected.
Conclusion: 5 stars, therefore it can not in my view have to be, because in this day and age with the possibilities of programming / firmware adjustment no such shortcomings as above would have to be described, which can be reacted even at this price simply. The poor shielding / processing of GSM module (which at Abus example quite a bit of extra cost cost) values I do not have, because you can even easily help out with self-help the maximum design deficiencies in poor GSM connection.
Supplements 11.06.2015:
After the system has error-free and reliable work, I now have another 15 door / window sensors and secure to buy the whole house. All functional tests is the plant without hesitation and no false alarms so far. Mir is still noticed that the programming for the "bells Zone" to "environment" could be expanded, this is unfortunately limited to "input / output", but we have the patio doors as a "buffer zone" protected, characterized but you can this at Open not be ringing in the unset state.
